FrameScope reads a wood-frame multifamily construction set and sends back a two-page overview of what drives the framing — and what's buried in the notes. Your plan set comes stapled behind it, with every sheet reference linked.
Each value is read from the set and tied to the sheet it came from. Wall lengths are measured from the floor plans, level by level.
Construction type by level, number of stories, building height, and how many units sit on wood-framed levels.
Units, story heights, linear feet of wall, wood-framing square footage, floor depth, joist or truss, and how much of each level stacks on the one below.
Square footage and wall length for each unit plan.
Stud and plate grades; wall, floor, and roof sheathing; and the tie-down system.
The bearing-wall stud schedule and shear wall schedule — edge studs, anchor bolts, and which shear types appear on each level.
Fire-retardant wood, deferred and bidder-designed systems, balloon framing, staggered walls, steel in the wood levels, and conflicts between schedules and notes.
The overview sits on the front of your own plan set. Click a sheet number and the PDF opens that sheet. Click the sheet number on a flag and it opens zoomed in on the callout, highlighted, so you read it in the designer's own words.
Send the earlier and the later issue of a set — Delta 1 and Delta 2, the bid set and the permit set — and FrameScope reports what moved between them, sheet by sheet.
Qualify one plan set, or compare two revisions — the same $25 either way. Upload, pay, and the report is in your inbox within 24 hours; or start with the free trial by email.
Email your plans to sales@fieldbim.com. Attach the PDFs, or send a download link if the set is too big to attach — Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Box links all work.
We'll email the overview back within 24 hours, at no charge. Send two issues of the same set if you'd like to try the revision comparison instead.
Need something the standard report doesn't cover — your own layout, extra counts, a different scope split? Say so in the email. The trial is where we fit the report to the way you bid.

Wood-frame multifamily and mixed-use construction sets, including wood over a concrete podium. Upload the architectural and structural drawings as PDFs — one file or several. Sets exported straight from CAD or Revit read best; scanned sheets are read too.
No. FrameScope qualifies the job — its size, its framing systems, and its risks — so you can decide whether and how to bid, and what to ask before you do. It isn't a material list or a priced estimate.
Every value names the sheet it came from, and every flag quotes the drawing. Click the sheet number in the overview to open that sheet in the set.
The two-page overview as a PDF, and your plan set with the overview stapled to the front — sheet references linked, flagged notes highlighted, every sheet bookmarked. Large packages arrive as a download link.
Sheets are matched by sheet number, drawn from both issues and compared line by line, so a moved wall, a changed dimension, a re-worded note or an added detail all show up. Each change is boxed on the sheet in the attached later issue, with a before/after picture and a one-line description in the report. Changes inside the title block — dates, revision rows, stamps — are reported separately so they don’t bury the real ones. Descriptions are checked against the drawings: a line that cites a value not printed on either sheet is replaced by a plain statement of what the text layer lost and gained.
They're used only to prepare your report and are never shared. Uploads are cleared from our upload storage once your order is picked up for processing.
